"Thank you both for coming." Elsie said, as she watched Annalise and Bryon walk into the ready room. She had called them together, for an improv senior staff meeting.

"Not a problem, Commander." Annalise said, as got comfortable in her seat, she looked over to Bryon to see if he wanted to chime in, before asking the obvious question. Why were they there?

“Commander,” Byron said respectfully. He took a seat and waited for Elsie to speak. She wasn’t one to beat around the bush but got straight to the point.

"What can we do for you Commander?" Annalise asked, noticing just the three of them where in this room, that told her, that Elsie wanted something from them.

"How is the crew holding up Counselor?" Elsie asked, deciding to get right into it. Since they two them seemed determined, to get on with the meeting. she appreciate that about the two of them.

"After the Captain's update, as well as can be expected. We are all looking forward to his complete return to active duty." Annalise said. She was hopeful that Batai would return soon.

"Captain Dhej is a strong man, he will be back shortly." Elsie said. She was eager to see him get back on his feet as well. She had her own daemons to work out. So far, she was keeping on top of it all.

Annalise nodded in agreement, she wondered what else was on the mind of Elsie, she knew that she did not call them down here for this.

“We are all praying he is back soon,” Bryson added. His eyes were on Elsie. She seemed to have a lot on her mind. “What can we do to help?”

"The Captain is returning in three hours, we need to make sure the ship and crew are working at peak efficiency. I need you both to help me with this." Elsie said, waiting to see how they were going to react. The Captain, should be resting a couple more days at least.

“I’ll do my part,” Byron spoke up. “He will see we are right on top of things.” Byron didn’t want to let anyone down. Though the position was temporary he wanted to do the very best job.

"Glad to hear it, the captain wants us all in a staff meeting in three hours. Go around to each department, lets make sure everything is on the up and up." Elsie said, as the scene starts to fade away.
